A new logo and a new outlook for a city struggling with its reliance on oil.

“The compass logo represents the cities rich history and journey. It is universally recognisable and can be tailored to each individual’s own adventure. It points to the North East as an indicator of Aberdeens location and gives Aberdonians and visitors alike a chance to take pride in a new adventure as the city begins to pave new paths for itself.”

The font used for this project is Monolog, it was created by the Glasgow based type designer Lewis MacDonald. More of his amazing typefaces can be found here at his type foundry Polytype, also check out his Instagram.
