Nightlark Recordings

Nightlark is an Edinburgh based record label, playing gigs, running a monthly radio show on EH-FM, releasing DJ mixes and edits through Bandcamp and Soundcloud.

The mark was heavily inspired by the Nightlark’s first mix found below, replicating the look and feel of a historic Gothic bookplate Ex Libris stamp. It reflects the ownership of the growing mysterious record collection and plays into the lore behind the secretive 1852 Nightlark connoisseur.

The gifs and videos that accompany the website created for the label are taken from the public domain. Together with the label founder we regularly dig through old films and footage to blend them with the monthly mixes released via EH-FM and the website.
